Reasons for Change
The initial idea was to make a vampire trailer.
The idea was to have a vampire who stalks his pray until they move or are chased into a secluded area where they can feed on their victim undisturbed, but after researching about vampire films, we found their trailers were more action orientated and after looking on Google trends we deduced that vampire horror films also didn't produce a lot of interest as people are more focused on films like Twilight (2008) so we decided to change our idea.

After more research on Google trends and other sites like love film and Metacritic we found that a supernatural sub genre had a lot of interest by the audience and this was easily shown by Google trends as it had many more searches than vampire horror. We decided that if we incorporated supernatural into our horror we could keep our original idea and just change it a little bit to fit a supernatural story.
With more research we found that vampire horror films with any sub genres are not as popular as most other horror films, an example of this is Fright Night (2011) which was a horror-comedy, also didn't have a large audience. After this realization we decided to change our pitch completely. We decided as a group that we would base our new teaser trailer on either a true story or legend as films like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (2003) more suited our audience and generated more interest. One person in our group researched into the legend of Bloody Mary and after more research on her myth and research on Google trends we decided we would base our horror around the legend of Bloody Mary (JH)
